Pro-Tip of the Day

If someone thinks something is “meh” or even straight-up bad they don’t usually bother to memorize the creator’s name. There’s lots of bad art, writing, design and so on out there and we’re just browsing. Meanwhile, if someone thinks your work is good they’re much more likely to put the extra effort in to remembering who you are. Get your work out there. It’s almost always a net win in my experience.

Of course, people are more motivated to leave unpleasant comments than positive ones in passing. That’s a given. But in terms of remembering your name for the future? Positive tends to top negative, unless it’s a VERY memorable bad piece you’ve got going there.
